Discover more about the variety of Scotch Whisky that is our raison d’être at Johnnie Walker House.
SINGLE CASK WHISKY
Individually bottled and numbered from one cask at one distillery, single cask whisky bears all the unique characteristics of the cask it has matured in. Because no two casks are identical and each yields no more than 150 bottles, single cask whisky is among the rarest in the world.
SINGLE DISTILLERY WHISKY
Made and aged at a single distillery, single distillery whisky includes Single Malt and Single Grain Whisky. Ranging from fresh and fruity to deep and smoky, the whisky takes on the character of the distillery where it is produced.
Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Hailing from distilleries across Scotland, Single Malt Whisky is made exclusively with malted barley, spring water and yeast. With each providing its distinct flavour profile, single malts are the cornerstones of Johnnie Walker blends. Access to stock from silent distilleries means our master blenders can create unique blends that are impossible to replicate.
Single Grain Scotch Whisky
Unlike single malts, Single Grain Scotch Whisky is made from unmalted cereal grains like wheat, maize, oats or rye. Single grains feature softer flavour profiles and sweeter notes not typically found in single malts.
Blending Scotch Whisky is an art - all about creating a desired flavour profile, achieved by the skill and expertise of master blenders using a variety of malt and grain whiskies. Comprising some of the best malt and grain whiskies across Scotland, some of them from distilleries that have long closed, blended whisky is an exciting concerto of flavours born of the terroir of the different regions.
